JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Technological Innovation of Processes Director, the Project Manager is responsible for analyzing business processes, ensuring their integration into systems and deploying various digital solutions from Metaltech-Omega and possibly Échafauds Plus, a sister company of the Omega II group. He/she plays a key role in understanding needs, functional configuration, testing, change management and user support. In collaboration with internal teams and external consultants, he/she supports the evolution of technological tools in a manufacturing context and contributes to the realization of various projects. This position is part of a team of seven project managers dedicated to technological process innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze and map business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Adapt processes to system functionalities when applicable (ERP, specialized modules, integrations) and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Technology Project Management:
- Plan and manage various software process improvement projects: module deployment, integrations, automations, system updates.
- Define requirements, draft test plans, and validate delivered solutions.
- Ensure coordination and rigorous follow-up with internal (departments, IT, management) and external (suppliers, consultants, integrators) stakeholders.
- Popularize information to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate decision-making.
Implementation of technological solutions:
- Manage the integration and participate in the functional configuration of new technologies (e.g. ERP, CRM, WMS, EDM, automation tools).
- Collaborate with external vendors to purchase or adapt technology solutions to the needs of the organization.
- Test new features and document operational impacts.
Change Management and User Support:
- Develop change management strategies to encourage employees to adopt new tools.
- Prepare and lead training sessions, assist users, and provide support during the transition to new processes.
- Clearly communicate the impacts and benefits of technological changes to engage teams and management.
Monitoring and innovation:
- Monitor emerging technologies and their potential applications within the organization.
- Propose innovative solutions and contribute to pilot projects aimed at modernizing technological practices.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, software engineering, business analysis, or related field;
- Minimum experience: Internship or academic project in process analysis, digital transformation, information systems, or technology integration. Projects will be tailored to your level of experience.
- Spoken and written languages: Advanced proficiency in French and functional English to communicate with colleagues or consultants outside Quebec.
Technical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of business processes in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Analytical skills: ability to identify user needs and model business processes.
- Project Management: Ability to simultaneously manage multiple end-to-end digital transformation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, and experience with an ERP system.
- Knowledge of Epicor, VBA, Power Query, and Power BI are assets.
