JOB SUMMARY

The Toolmaker-Fitter is responsible for maintaining, repairing and maintaining in order the forming matrix and assembly templates using specialized tools such as a milling machine, a lathe, a grinding machine, etc. They support the production, engineering and the quality group in the raw material transformation process by ensuring the efficiency, precision and durability of the matrix and templates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the maintenance, repairs, adjustments and installation of matrix and templates;
  • Analyze, identify and correct recurring problems with matrices and templates;
  • Assist the engineering team in the improvement, optimization and integration of new jigs and matrix.
  • Machine components according to the needs of the company.
  • Any other related duties established by his superior.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Any combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • DEP Machining Techniques, DEP Machine Operation, ASP in Tooling;
  • Two to three years of experience in the manufacturing field;
  • Knowledge of machining and/or tooling;
  • Good physical condition;
  • Good adaptability and learning skills;
  • Versatility and autonomy.
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication in French;
  • Ability to read mechanical plans;
  • Knowledge of welding and mechanics.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.

The maintenance team is made up of eleven people who are united and committed, mainly made up of electromechanics and industrial mechanics. Each member brings complementary expertise.
